This year seams more than appropriate to give gifts from the heart that are home made. I recently helped to organize a mom blog event for Hewlett Packard on charitable giving. It was really great and re-conformed my attitude on gift giving. It's all about the message from the heart, not from the pocket book. In today' world we tend to buy the latest gadget, the perfect gift. When all we really need to do is to look within, it is there we find our most valued gifts. This holiday season, think about the essences of the holiday, it's not about the gift, but more about the message or the recognition of the person your giving to. It's about honoring the relationships you hold. Don't think those less fortunate can only benefit from your gift, but open your self and think about the gift they give you as well.
Creative and Personal Gifts in a Jar.Homemade Gift Giving on a Budget
This is a project that was highlighted at the Girls Night Out with HP. I ran the station for cookies in a jar. HP provided the artwork used to decorate the jar. It was pretty cool for me because the art came from my design team. What was great was seeing the art we created being utilized by the end user. They really loved the project and felt empowered to be more crafty. The gifts made were personable, creative and special, all while on a budget.
